Our first Tuesday lunch was at a pub in St Albans; and members went to the Monday night quiz each Monday at the pub on the Hatfield road.

Dancers went to the dance club at Edgware; and walkers went for a Sunday morning walk in Heartwood Forest, Sandridge, and for a walk in Little Berkhampstead, with drinks or lunch in a pub afterwards.

Days out included a guided London Walk round Little Venice; a visit to the Ove Arup exhibition at the V&A; a visit to the Henry Moore studios and gardens at Perry Green; and a visit to the Royal Horticultural Society at Wisley.

Evening entertainment included a classical music concert at the University of Hertfordshire; and a performance by Nina Conti at St Albans Arena. There was an evening meal at an Indian restaurant in St Albans. Members went to a quiz at Grove House; a quiz and supper in aid of Radlett Musical Theatre Company; and a quiz with buffet in aid of Herts Air Ambulance.

There was also a Sunday afternoon event to see the Osiligi Maasai Troupe performing in St Albans Cathedral, followed by tea and chat in the Cathedral’s café.

On three of these pub-nights there will be the option of a meal beforehand. There will also be a Friday night drinks night at a pub in St Albans town centre. The first Tuesday lunch will be at a pub in St Albans, and members will go to the Monday night quiz at the pub on the Hatfield road.

Our traditional November 5th event will be to watch the fireworks in Verulamium Park, followed by warming food in a member’s home nearby.
